Solar Cycle is a top-down, physics-based arcade shooter set inside the core of the sun, with a hand-drawn notebook style. You pilot a ship through solar particles — like protons and helium — guiding and colliding them to trigger fusion and keep the star alive. There are no enemies, just the chaos of particle physics and the challenge of sustaining reactions. It’s a score-chaser built around real fusion concepts, currently in prototyping after starting at Alberta Slow Jam 2024.
